We collect only what we need to talk with you and do the work you hire us for. We never sell, rent or trade your information, and we never use it for anything else.
Who we are
Sunday Engine builds systems, automation and AI helpers for small and growing businesses. We're based in Abbotsford, British Columbia, Canada. We follow B.C.'s Personal Information Protection Act (PIPA), and Canada's Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) where information crosses provincial or national borders.
Our Privacy Officer is responsible for how we handle personal information. You can reach them at [email protected] with "Privacy" in the subject line.
What we collect
When you visit this website
This site uses no advertising or tracking cookies. We measure visits with Cloudflare Web Analytics, which counts page views without cookies and without building a profile of you. Your browser may remember whether you prefer the Summary or Detailed view; that setting stays on your device and never reaches us.
When you book a call or email us
We collect your name, email address, business name and website, the size of your team, and anything you choose to tell us about your business. We use it to prepare for and hold the call and to follow up with you.
When you hire us
To build your system, we may need access to your business tools. Those tools can contain personal information about your staff and customers. We access only what the work requires, use it only to do that work, and handle it under the NDA we sign with you. You remain in control of that information; we act on your behalf.
We also keep the records any business needs: contact details, quotes, invoices and payment records.
How we use it
- To answer your questions and schedule calls
- To assess, build, train and support the work you hire us for
- To invoice and keep the financial records the law requires
We never sell, rent or trade personal information. We never add you to a mailing list without your permission. We never use one client's information for another client, and we never use your business data to train public AI models.
Who we share it with
We share information only with the services we use to run the business, and only what each one needs:
- Google Workspace, for email, calendar and booking
- Cloudflare, for hosting this website and measuring visits
- Video meeting tools, such as Google Meet, Zoom or Microsoft Teams
- Our accounting and invoicing software
Some of these providers store information outside Canada, including in the United States, where it may be subject to the laws of that country. We may also disclose information when a law requires it.
How we protect it
- Two-step sign-in on every account we use
- Passwords stored in a secure password manager, never in email or documents
- Access to client systems limited to what the work needs, and removed when the work ends
- Each client's information kept separate
- An NDA with every client, signed on day one
If a breach ever puts your information at real risk of significant harm, we'll tell you as soon as we can, explain what happened and what we're doing about it, and report it as the law requires.
How long we keep it
If you book a call and don't become a client, we delete your booking details within 12 months. Client contracts, invoices and financial records stay for the six years Canadian tax law requires. When a project ends, we remove our access to your systems and delete working copies of your data that we no longer need.
Your choices and rights
You can ask to see the personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or withdraw your consent to how we use it, subject to legal and contract limits. Email [email protected]. We'll respond within 30 business days, as B.C. law requires.
If you're not satisfied with our answer, you can contact the Office of the Information and Privacy Commissioner for British Columbia.
Changes to this policy
If we change how we handle information, we'll update this page and the date at the top.
